Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop
We adopted Splashtop just prior to COVID and it saved our tail as we quickly pivoted from on prem to fully remote. We have been using it daily to support our users and the SOS feature has also come in handy for helping troubleshoot devices that we don't manage. This has been the most user friendly platform we have used and it comes at a competitive price.
Pros
- Ease of connectivity
- Deployment is a breeze
- SOS product is convenient for supporting devices outside your organization,
Cons
- It would be nice to have a widget to pin to the desktop for quick access
- Ease of disconnecting existing connection from another device
- This allows our technicians to connect with end users faster and resolve helpdesk tickets.
- The ability to run elevated tasks while connected without a user present is extremely helpful.
This product has allowed us to create custom access levels down to each users and the ability to for 2FA is critical for compliance.
We were able to demo the product on a few computers and after a week of testing we were sold. We were able to complete our purchase online and immediately begin deploying through our MDM.
Yes - We have used Solarwinds MDM with built in remote access as well as logmein. Splashtop has had greater reliability and proven to be far more secure.
