Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop

Splashtop is a good tool for general remote access on our machines. It allows our users to work remotely and helps us in IT remote in for assistance. It also allows some background tasks, and is the quickest way I have to grab relevant logs if a computer is having issues.

Pros

  • Remote access
  • Event log viewing

Cons

  • UI feels clunky
  • Struggles with multiple users connected
  • Allows hybrid users
The MFA and device verification are nice.
It's slower to connect than other tools, but also offers more features.

Splashtop is good as a secure option, but lacks in some areas that other remote access tools excel in. It has extra features, but those features add bulk if you need something simple.
