Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop Enterprise
Splashtop is used by me to support staff desktops and company servers at the company's east coast and west coast locations. It is also used by staff to have remote access to their office desktops from home. It is used throughout the organization.
Pros
- Ease of use as a remote access tool
- Ease of use for administration, particularly for giving remote access to staff working from home.
- Very cost effective compared to alternate remote access products.
Cons
- Hard reboot for machines running but not online to Splashtop.
- Length of time a machine has been in the "active" state.
- Windows 11 machine seem always to be "active" even when not.
- Less costly than the previous remote access solution, so my client is happy.
- Very easy to deploy to new machines, saves me time.
- Easy to train staff to use.
I feel that Splashtop does a very good job in providing a secure and remote access and support solution for me. I have never had a security issue with them. I especially like the weekly security bulletins they send my way, advising me of browser and app updates that have just been released and other important security news.
I tried their free trial first and was up and running in less than a day. I migrated my clients three dozen or so machines from another vendor to Splashtop in a few days with no problems. I was quite impressed with the whole process as to how easy it was and the support I received from the company.
Yes - Logmein. Price was getting to high and was more difficult to administer.
