Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop Enterprise
I am able to screen share and use my work computer while I am out of town, or more recently, working from home. It allows me to access our financial records, business email, tax websites, and so much more. It means I can get work done even when I can't be in the office. It's hugely beneficial. I have also been able to allow my boss to view my screen, so we can collaborate and share information wherever he may be traveling at the time. I am very impressed with this service.
- Work from home during quarantine. Not feeling up to going in to the office, but have a deadline on a project? Access your computer -- and files -- from home.
- Problem solving while on vacation. While I was out of town a few months ago, and employee called asking for assistance -- I was able to log in and they could actually show me the issue and we could work to resolve it together. Time saving too!
- Sharing files and information in real-time, without Zoom or Facetime. My boss and I can both view the files, me at my desk, and him remotely. Wonderful service!
- The chat function is a dialog box and you have to move it in and out of the frame to chat and work. I think it would be helpful if it could remain live on one screen (until a response was given) while out of the way on the other.
- My boss struggles to log in. It could be an operator error, not knowing where to find the app on his computer at home, or a connectivity issue. (I have never had a problem when logging in myself.)
- Meeting deadlines when under quarantine.
- Ability to pop in and out as needed, saving time from having to run in to the office.
I have not had any issues or concerns with a secure connection. After the initial set up and verification, it's simple to log in. And each time you log in you have to sign in to my office computer, with it's password, so even if someone had my laptop and tried to get on, they wouldn't be able to access my files. I feel very safe using Splashtop.
The initial set up took a little time, authenticating and authorizing the individual users. But after that first set up, it's easy as could be.
