Sprout Social Scout
Overall Satisfaction with Sprout Social
We used Sprout Social with our ad agency to schedule content on our social media platforms. We were able to make changes to copy and reschedule on the platform as well as approve the posts and see reports. It’s a very robust tool that allows for bird’s eye view and detailed view of multiple social platforms.
Pros
- Social Media Scheduling
- Social Media Reporting
- Social Media Campaigns across multiple platforms
Cons
- Cost is high in comparison to other schedulers
- The tool is so robust it has a learning curve
- Was a great tool that gave our agency the ability to schedule content on our behalf, but still gave us the power to review and edit before it published
- Unfortunately, Sprout Social was apart of our agency contract and was too expensive to continue once our contract was fulfilled.
We didn’t dive deep enough into training to know the full capabilities of the software, but I will say it fulfilled its purpose in the time we used it. I wouldn’t necessarily attribute any specific return on the investment, but I appreciated the capabilities we did use (scheduling and reporting) while we had it.
- Later Social and Buffer
I think Sprout Social is probably top-tier and designed for agencies or social media content freelancers who need to spend a lot of time analyzing and strategizing content. For basic scheduling functions, it’s probably too powerful (like using a rocket to drive to the grocery store).
