Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Squarespace to design my own business sites and as a web designer, I use Squarespace to design sites for my clients. It is easy, quick to set up and organize, intuitive, and modern. It solves the problem of having an affordable, easy to use, easy to train web design platform that anyone can use and learn.

Pros and Cons

Ease of use- this is a strength because you can quickly design a client site and teach them how to use it.
Modern design and templates- this is a strength because it makes your company look good and thus you, as a web designer, look good.
Customer service- one of the best teams out there. You talk to a real human with a personality. One woman stayed on chat with me for an hour helping me fix something on my site. I was freaking out and she helped calm me down and wouldn't stop until it was done.

They could add "extras" meaning things like special hover effects, ways to add 'movement' to the sites, ability to use more than 4 fonts. HOWEVER I understand Squarespace is modern and minimal and it helps keep things looking consistent and professional. SOMETIMES it would be helpful though.
They could think about adding an advanced team to help customers with custom code changes, maybe for an additional fee or something. It would be good to have that resource all in one place.

Return on Investment

It helped me become a web designer! I struggled with Wordpress and the other sites like Wix and Weebly just looked cheap. Squarespace sites look amazing and with minimal effort, I can deliver beautiful effective sites for clients.

Alternatives Considered

Weebly

Squarespace was much more modern in design and the templates more attractive. The customization options for each template are growing and some sites are almost 100% customizable. Weebly did not have as modern designs or nearly as many customization options.

Canva, Adobe Illustrator CC, MailChimp

Likelihood to Recommend

Customer service is exceptional. Another place in my review I told the story of how a woman stayed on chat with me for an hour after something random went wrong on my site that no one could explain. She was a real person with a personality, like a friend. She came up with creative solutions and made me feel calm and like we were going to solve this. She did not stop until it was back to normal.
