Overall Satisfaction with Squarespace

At Alt Legal we use Squarespace for our blog. Squarespace allows the marketing department to regularly update the blog without needing to turn to the technical team. It was super easy to create a blog that followed our brand guidelines and looks great. We have a sidebar and featured articles so the blog is interactive.
  • Design
  • Easy to use
  • No need to update
  • Editing style elements
  • Confined to functionality within the template you selected
  • Clarity around what templates offer what functions
  • Lower bounce rate
  • SEO and organic traffic greatly improved
  • Content improved
Squarespace is easier to use and has much cleaner designs out of the box. WordPress has more functionality and flexibility but it takes a little more work to arrive at a finished product you are happy with. Wix gives you a lot of creative freedom but I was never happy with how the final product turned out.
It is hard to make a bad website with Squarespace. Their templates are so well designed and thoughtful. However, the functionality and plugin capability is limited or non- existent, meaning you have to manually do a lot of things such as SEO research. Every website design is mobile friendly- a huge plus with Google's algorithms.
