Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer
We use it for when we have to perform a certain tasks from one of our client computers, or help them with something they need to do. It's pretty easy. It remembers all the computers you have connected and you can access them when you need to. Pretty easy to setup with a client over a phone call as well. It's not something we use on a daily basis but we will use it every few days as needed.
- Very easy login and access to a remote computer. The initial setup is easy and it's easy after that as well.
- It's great for if you have many computers you have to access. You can name each remote computer. If there's an issue connecting with a computer, it alerts you so you can fix the problem.
- The usability and visibility when on a different computer is very good. Some remote desktops will appear very small on your screen or have issues where you click certain things and they don't work. We've never had that on TeamViewer before.
- You have to have the "computer code" or something similar to set it up, which can be difficult for new users.
- The pricing is very high, we aren't currently paying for it but if we were, we would use a lower priced alternative.
- It helps us get tasks done without having to guide the client through it, so it saves some considerable time, both of our time and their time.
- Splashtop Business Access and Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Manager (RDCMan)
TeamViewer is fine compared to these alternatives, but it's about 10x as expensive. For our purposes, I'm not sure what extra services they provide above Splashtop or just Microsoft remote desktop.
