Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

I am an individual user who used TeamViewer before the pandemic. In August 2020, the company launched a tool and suggested that connecting to my office desktops required a paid license. So I paid for three devices a year, which cost me £250+. TeamViewer was first advised by colleagues, but a year down the line, we all decided to stop using it. It is too expensive compared to other providers, and the customer service for remote users (£24 every month) does not have telephone support nor technical support.
  • Connection is reasonably stable.
  • It allows connecting to two screens.
  • The user experience is fine, not as stable as VNC server.
  • No customer service nor telephone support for members who are under a remote contract (24 GBP every month for three computers ). Switchboard will ask if you are a free customer (no service), a remote customer (no service, but computers will connect), or a commercial user (I don't know how much they pay, must be higher than what I paid).
  • This is a platform people should avoid if they do not want the hassle of service termination. The ticket system is designed to reject cancellation. I can't log in to generate a ticket. As soon as the cancellation period passed, I was allowed to generate a ticket for emailing TeamViewer. Then, they will tell you that the cancellation period has passed.
  • Put a 28 day policy for cancellation without giving the customer a contact email/ number.
  • People should avoid at all cost --they send you an invoice and court ticket according to their switchboard option for "court ticket for payment". There must be many people forced to pay extra years to avoid hassles from court.
  • After I send the cancellation requirement, the contract status showed: automated renewal on 20 August 2022. This is an endless chain.
  • Positive: Nice choice for free users if they do not hassle you for paid license.
  • Negative: Disgraceful company, no customer service/ support, traps users with contracts, and rejects canceling the payment plan.
I have used FTP server and VNC server for screen sharing. Teamviewer is slow but fairly stable. Copy and paste across remote screens will send computers to death. File transfer rarely worked (among Windows to Mac, Windows to Linux Ubuntu).

Everyone I know within my institution has stopped using it actively. People with the free version will put it as a backup platform, and use other platforms such as VNC as the main connection, which is free/£3 per month if you want to pay. I do believe the main problem is the customer service and the philosophy of this company. No company can keep sustainable business by robbing customers with unfair T&C.
I didn't use two-factor authentication, which is a standard for their competitors. I think the main reason is that my contact is not expensive enough so that they do not provide such security measures. Beyond that, another comment is I do not feel TeamViewer is secure. Apart from many sudden disconnections, it gives awkward sounds, such as mouth clipping sounds from nowhere. The audio setting is very abnormal, it does not use the default audio channel. I wouldn't be surprised if TeamViewer records the customer's background sound.
If I can give a 0 mark, I will. Nightmare!!! Have you come across a platform that rejects your cancellation by all means? As an engineer myself, I feel [it is] so disgraceful the tricks they used on customers. TeamViewer's Software Team purposefully blocked users in their cancellation period to generate service tickets, then allowed you to generate tickets after the cancellation period. TeamViewer does not provide the customer with an email address to carry out cancellation unless you know there is an email address that exists! Anyone else who has a problem with the ticket system or telephone service, please use the email: contact@teamviewer.com
