Overall Satisfaction with Trello
Trello is used to track individual employees' major work items whether they are projects or project tasks. We also use Trello to track open items in complex individual work-streams where there are multiple groups involved. Both of these uses allow visibility to the work being performed for resource managers as well as work-stream owners in an Agile-type usage.
- Ease of use both on the desktop as well as the mobile apps. No loss of functionality on the mobile apps.
- Very visual and easy to scan through the items on the 'boards' very quickly.
- Role-based security makes it easy to display only what individual users need.
- Needs additional flexibility and functionality to be used as a full-fledged product management tool.
- Great for Agile usage but not set up for a Waterfall methodology.
- The positive impact that is most applicable revolves around its ease of use and portability. Decisions made on fast-moving projects/work-streams can be referenced anywhere on your mobile device rather than having to log in to your historical project repository. This cuts churn in meetings down to a bare minimum.
- The ROI is quantifiable in reducing re-work and ensuring all project team members are on the same page.
- Another use that helps resource managers is to track the onboarding status and items being worked on for new employees through the checklist functionality within the cards.

Trello is very cost-effective with a high upside and minimal implementation and training needs. If you need a full product management tool then this may not be for you. Although it does have an API for integrations with other tools I cannot speak to the feasibility of this.
