Overall Satisfaction with Trello
Trello is being used at a personal level only. The enterprise tools provided are inflexible and are not well integrated. Trello provides a way to manage personal tasks over and above the tools provided by the organization. I have demonstrated Trello's features and benefits to a number of groups within the organization, but commitment to existing vendors is strong and hard to shift.
- Ease of use.
- Cross-platform and always in sync.
- New Offline mode.
- Could have some more options to use on cards - sometimes creative thinking is required.
- Some other tools are way ahead in terms of swim lanes etc.
- Some features come across as a little too playful in parts of the company.
- No impact on ROI yet. Once demand for Trello grows to a point where it has to be seen as a contender, I believe it will have a big impact on personal efficiency and productivity. Tasks will be much less likely to get lost.
Trello wins in the quick to set up and easy to use scenario. It just makes sense. Kanbanize, on the other hand, requires a lot more initial setup, although boards can be much more customized with that product. In this case, personal task management was the target, with mobile access, and Trello was first in my list for ease of setup.
