TriNet review from 1 man HR dept
Overall Satisfaction with TriNet
We use TriNet as our payroll and benefits platform for our New York studio.
Pros
- Switching to TriNet for benefits saved our company hundreds of thousands of dollars. We were previously only able to afford to cover 60% of the monthly premiums for employee-only coverage, but when we switched, because we were saving so much money, we upped the ante and were able to cover 100% of the monthly premiums for employee-only coverage and still save money.
- Payroll functionality is simple and straightforward.
- Easy to manage users.
Cons
- The new beta interface has some things missing from the admin view, from what I can tell. Either that, or they are not as easy to find as they once were. For example, using the old interface, I was easily able to pull up employee information such as DOB, address, etc, and that no longer seems to be the case.
- As admins, it would also be helpful to be able to see full SSNs, as I frequently need to use them to conduct employee background checks, visa applications, etc and it's not ideal to have to ask the employee for that information every time.
- Positively streamlined payroll and benefits processes
- Ensures we stay compliant, which is a weight off my shoulders as a 1 person HR dept.
RUN was an easy to use payroll platform, but it was not as robust as TriNet.
