Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

There has been some change in the model for service. We did have an HR consultant and a Payroll consultant. At times it was confusing because I wasn't sure who to contact. Now we have one consultant for service and I think that one point of contact is better, however sometimes I'm forwarded to another department and asked to follow up directly with them.
When calling for tech assistance, I have been given incorrect information or at least information that is contrary to the website, that Edge was not a supported browser. I think that my recent tech issues have to do with the transition to the new beta site. Hopefully these will get resolved once the site is finished. Also tech staff needs to be more fully trained so they don't give wrong answers to basic inquiries.
I would give a 10 except I have has some issues with the new beta site. I look forward to when all the functionality is finished and working as fast as it did before.
We use TriNet as our benefits, payroll, and HR management solution.

Pros

  • Payroll--once it's set up it runs on it's own. I don't think about it unless I need to change something.
  • Compliance--notices and email reminders for tasks like I-9 compliance make things easy for a busy person in a small org who is responsible for multiple roles.
  • Benefits--we're able to offer our employees many more high-quality benefits within our budget than we otherwise would be able to.

Cons

  • The new beta site looks great but is very slow. I hope this is fixed soon because it's making completing the most basic tasks very time-consuming.
  • I wish the reports were more intuitive and easier to use. For example I wanted a quick report on overtime but I had to contact my consultant to run the report which ended up involving pivot tables and still needed a calculation in xls in order to get the number I needed.
  • I also wish the training module with basic included training was more user friendly. For example assigning the sexual harassment training to my staff also required assistance from my consultant and it doesn't seem like this should be the case. It seems like something I should be able to find and do without assistance.
  • Benefits management has been a huge relief. We are able to offer our employees a fantastic benefits package at a much lower cost than before, both in dollars and in management time.
  • Payroll is another area that I used to spend a lot of time on, checking timesheets and calling in payroll every week. Now I check timesheets and if there are no changes to make I do nothing, payroll runs automatically. There's nothing else for me to do and it saves me a lot of time!
TriNet is a great company with great offerings for businesses of all sizes. I wish that the administrative price-point was better for companies under 15-20 because I know other business owners who would benefit greatly from TriNet.
