Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

TriNet is used across our entire organization of 15-20 employees. They handle our payroll function - including onboarding new employees, our regular payrolls and employee transitions. They also handle all of our health care benefits program including medical, dental and vision. Finally, they provide us support for major HR issues that we must manage.

Pros

The website has improved, especially the reporting function with pre-developed reports that they create. We have not pushed too hard on the report customization as most of the canned reports work fairly well although their descriptions could be improved to make it easier to find a report that will work for your needs. Their search functionality for the website is dated and could be improved - I seldom find what I need through search.
In general, they are very thorough and make sure to get you the correct answer. Chat function has been improved with knowledgeable reps and the chat feature has reps available quickly. Harder problems can take some time though - especially if you are making a change to your policies like benefits or PTO.
They did an excellent job in Covid, including creating reports needed for various government programs. However, they could have done better at being more responsive for the employee benefit programs that emerged.

We use TriNet for our entire team of 15-20 for all of our HR functions. I think they handle payroll well (although it is not always intuitive, it takes some initial training) and benefits. Their reporting functionality continues to improve and they've done a good job anticipating the needs of their customer base by being proactive in creating reports. Report naming and descriptions could be improved.

Their chat support has been greatly improved. We have had good response times and knowledgeable reps on the other end. They also use chat to route you to the subject experts in a timely fashion. Most of our questions are answered successfully by the chat feature at this point in time.
