Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

Our organization used TriNet as a platform to process payroll for the US staff. The head office is based in Australia as well as the finance team. Being in Australia, the finance team has little knowledge of the payroll requirements in the US. Being with TriNet has helped us to have insight on the US payroll compliances and they are a chat away when assistance is needed. We've been using TriNet to process payroll only.

Pros

  • Being in Australia, they are a chat away if assistance is required
  • Health benefit program for the employees is easy to renew every year

Cons

  • The help section is not as detailed; so you usually have to contact them
  • From the administrator's point of view, I don't know what the employees are seeing from their side. Hard to tell new employees what are the steps to take next.
  • To be compliant with US rules
  • To have a US support for payroll queries
I don't use all of the features - mainly the payroll entries which are user-friendly. You can easily find how the report works etc.
They are always prompt and feel satisfied with the assistance provided. Trinet helped with assisting me understand how insurance works for example, or how the form i-9 is to be completed, they point me to where I can find reports on the system.

Using TriNet

Evaluating TriNet and Competitors

TriNet Reliability

TriNet is easy to use, interface friendly and have automated features (paystubs, W2, direct deposit, vacation leave management, set up automated reporting ...) make it easier to scale. Also being a self service platform, employees can manage bank details, documents, choose and enroll for benefits, administration tasks - meaning less time spent on administration for finance team personnel.
Headoffice is located in Melbourne Australia. With time difference, it is important for us to have personnels available for payroll queries. So far we have not encountered issues with Trinet's availabilty. With the 24 hour chat away, there is always a personnel available straight away for assistance with mininal waiting time.
Trinet's performance is good. We are a small business and we dont have many complex reports to generate. So far we have no issues noted with report loading, onboarding new employees, processing payroll or navigating on the portal.
We dont have Trinet integrated with any other software. I cant comment on Trinet's performance for that instance.
