Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My organization uses TriNet as our PEO for payroll processing, benefit administration, 401k administration, I-9 verification and reverification. Personally, my use case as a senior recruiter is to onboard new employees into the system, getting them set up with direct deposit, benefits, 401k and I-9 verification.

Cons

In my opinion, processes are overly complicated at times or unclear
In my experience, getting a resolution is not always straightforward. While the chat is available, the reps often cannot resolve the issues or misunderstand the issue leading to more confusion
In my experience, there are fees associated with simple requests that should not have fees associated, for example, when we reach out for an issue or question, we are charged for that.

TriNet has allowed us to improve payroll accuracy
TriNet has supported with HR compliance
TriNet has helped us reduce the time spent on some HR admin tasks

Usability

For the most part, the platform is straight forward but there are some areas for usability or searching that are overly complicated. We frequently has employee questions or issues finding information on the portal and dashboard, I think having a more simplistic layout would be helpful for the employees.

Support Rating

Support often isn't able to resolve issues when contacting them via chat or misunderstands the problem. It's frustrating that you cannot attach photos in the chat to help provide additional context and clarity.

TriNet allows us to easily automate processes like onboarding, offboarding, payroll and makes benefits very accessible and easy to understand.
TriNet does a great job with providing additional resources like benefits guide, HR and compliance resources, and The Wing to test your knowledge and stay current
