Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

We have a small team with limited capacity to run our HR/Payroll, so we changed to TriNet to make that easy for us and also keep us compliant. TriNet is a user-friendly platform that we have been able to use easily to run Payroll, enter new hires, etc.

Pros

  • enter new hires
  • make changes to employees easily
  • calculate retro pay

Cons

  • In my opinion, customer service can be improved
  • when I ask a question to our Payroll representative, I feel like I always have to dig for the information and it isn't just provided directly
  • We have had many issues regarding compliance and what is TriNet's responsibilities vs our own.. In my opinion, TriNet can do a better job at explaining that early on
  • Also, in our experience, TriNet said we can change mid year no problem, and then didn't support us when issues did arise regarding filing quarterly taxes
the platform itself is easy to use
In our experience, they don't always answer your questions directly... you have to keep asking questions to get the answers you need
ADP also had its limitations in the platform.. but I think their customer service was a lot better

the platform is nice and easy to use, but TriNet really sold us on helping us stay compliant and a lot of times it feels like we still have to do our own research to keep us compliant
