Overall Satisfaction with TriNet
We moved to TriNet after using another PEO over 2 years ago. We first embarked on a PEO due to the increasing benefits cost and limitations of being a small company (20 ees). The PEO model met our needs. However after 2 years with another PEO, while the savings were there, the platform caused many headaches. A simple change of 401K contribution rate created a headache and simple pennies on equity compensation was a mess. TriNet solved both of these problems by being more flexible and understanding. We went through a few hiccups our first year, but now things are running very smoothly.
On top of this, our benefits costs were reduced when we first moved to TriNet and the renewal rates have been very reasonable, with some costs even decreasing so our year over year costs have decreased/stayed the same, which was unheard of previously.
We look forward to our continued partnership with TriNet.

Pros
- Platform is easy to use
- Having a dedicated payroll person has been great
- Self service for employees
Cons
- It would be nice to be able to talk to someone instead of ONLY being able to email (LOA)
- I find the knowledge pages are always updated as there are platform changes, making it hard to find some things
- The onboarding process is much easier, especially now that new hires can enter their own SSN and birthdate. I never understood why I had to enter this information.
- Allows employees to see payment history and W2 information.
- Employment verification is much easier and out of my hands.
Honestly we didn't really need any support.
