Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

Trinet takes care of payroll concerns. Everything from monitoring, on-cycle, and off-cycle payroll runs. Trinet also takes care of compliance concerns not only for leavers but also for people taking extended leaves of absence. They are able to provide sound advice and notes reminding us of compliance every step of the way. Apart from that, they take care of health benefits for our US employees.

Pros

  • Payroll codes.
  • Onboarding.
  • I-9 validation.

Cons

  • Filling in information for Extended LOAs and applying it to payroll.
  • Answering compliance questions for particular situations.
  • Benefits offerings.
  • Trinet assisted us in managing our US employees well. The bulk of management is with them.
  • In case of needed guidance, I can simply chat with them. Answers given promptly.
  • In case of urgent concerns and unique concerns, the assigned CSM is amazing.
Overall, I am okay dealing with Trinet and loved our CSM assigned. Of course, there are still some things that need improvement. This is particularly true for the extended LOA filing. Not much to learn about the use of the platform, very usable and self-explanatory. Recent updates make it more fun to look at, but still do not diminish usability.
Chat support has always been helpful. It's just at times when it comes to specifics, some support guys need to send me to another one. But overall okay.

Overall, Trinet has been a reliable partner on almost all facets of HR, but it needs some work on dealing with compliance issues, and more so not satisfied with how LOAs are filed in the system. With the many things HR is accomplishing, it would be best that what is updated is also reflected in the platform. A mistake or deduction on payroll is a big deal for employees.
