Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

TriNet was our PEO 2020-2025.
As a small non-profit, it was our solution for all HR processes including payroll, benefits, hiring, etc.
We did not use the expense management system.

Pros

  • Offers all the systems we need (payroll, benefits, EAP, etc)
  • Payroll processing is straightforward
  • Hiring platform has improved
  • The Wing platform has been a helpful new asset
  • Account manager and payroll manager were both great

Cons

  • Tax team is understaffed and slow to respond
  • "Technology fees" continue to be a surprise assessment
  • Online case numbers are lost or closed out without resolutions
  • Overall PEPM fees are expensive
  • Give HR staff confidence that org management is covered
Technology is trying hard and works most of the time.
Direct account manager is good, but other support systems are lacking.

For a large company that knows exactly what they need and just want a tech-based solution, TriNet could be a good fit

For smaller companies that have limited budget or need to ensure that all legal/tax issues are covered - would be best to find another provider.
