Overall Satisfaction with TrustRadius for Buyers

I use TrustRadius to look into new technologies like CRMs and Email Deployment platforms. I've used them in the past to discover how other users feel about larger platforms like Salesforce and Adobe in order to help bring insights to my proposals. There have been times where my company has used TrustRadius results to not move forward with various outside bids because of how others have perceived the companies or platforms.
  • To understand my options (i.e. build my short list or long list)
  • To compare products
  • To determine what to ask a vendor
  • To validate vendor claims
  • To confirm my decision
  • To find evidence to support my recommendation to colleagues or my client
My company liked going back in and seeing an organized list of questions and the answers that followed the questions. Questions that we looked to specifically were "what did you like about the product?" and "What didn't you like about the product?" After reviewing 3-5 responses we were able to get the general idea for both positive and negative attributes.
I looked for first hand information about the product within the reviews. I want to know if the product, if implemented will save my company time and money. Saving time/money is the whole purpose of these tools - to remove the manual labor and to assist in organizing information to make it easier on reporting.
I was able to create proposals with information that had outside sources confirm what we suspected, shed light on questions that we had, and even completely kill proposals when enough evidence was gathered to show that pursuing a certain platform wasn't worth it.
  • Large amounts of useful data in one space
  • Diverse user groups across various industries
  • The user experience has always been perfect each time I have used the platform
  • Provide more information on one page -- less word required questions
  • Additional ways to play with the data
  • Reader question submissions
I didn't use any other sources of information for this particular product. I've used it myself to write reviews as well as to read reviews. TrustRadius is my favorite review site for platforms because of how easy it is to use and share the information. It's like they just "get" what my company is looking for when I'm creating proposals or reviewing submissions.
The accuracy of information is what stood out about TrustRadius. They reward users for submissions and ensure there is accuracy behind the submission. You don't get that with other sites and typically those sites are made up of angry individuals so you need to take the information with a grain of salt. I can't tell you how many times we've implemented a platform and said "Yup... They talked about X problem in several of those TrustRadius reviews."
Yes. I've completely shut off vendor contact based on reviews that have come from TrustRadius. We won't do business with certain companies because of their culture or way they do business. You only find that information out through other people having first hand experiences. TrustRadius reviewers have the right insight and pieces of information that assist in interactions with B2B tech vendors.
Take the time to read through multiple posts and look for both positive and negative view points. You'll end up getting more out of the service when utilizing the review site in that particular way. Be sure to look for versions of the platform as well because those may have fixed earlier negative review points.
