Overall Satisfaction with TrustRadius for Buyers
I was looking for an ERP system that is suitable for our business and industry. We are a subsidiary of a big organization that is invested in different industries so I had to consider a system that would be compatible with the other subsidiaries and the parent or a system that can be used by all.
- To understand my options (i.e. build my short list or long list)
- To compare products
- To determine what to ask a vendor
- To validate vendor claims
- To confirm my decision
- To find evidence to support my recommendation to colleagues or my client
- To see what other users think of the product I am currently using
I've read reviews about pros and cons of each system and evaluated it against what I needed for reporting and our business. Not one system is perfect so I had to weight what is really necessary versus what is a nice to have feature in the system. Also, if it's not a perfect system, [I had to consider] what I can compromise for the features that I need.
What I look for in reviews are honest experiences and feedback on the systems that I'm reviewing. The kind of reviews that are valuable would be any review that's thoughtful about how other readers would be able to use that review if they're ever looking at a particular system or feature in a product.
With the technology that we have, we are more informed in making decisions [when we can find reviews]. It is valuable to look at people's reviews of vendors and products to learn from their experiences. I do this for everything I buy, be it for personal or business use. Reviews are valuable information in making a decision.
- I like the fact that TrustRadius validates the accuracy of the reviews and information.
- I like the fact that the users give valuable feedback in the reviews.
- I like the fact that users of TrustRadius need to be validated with their LinkedIn so that the users are business people who really want to provide input and use the service for their business.
- Add more products or software that people can review. Not a very comprehensive list yet.
I use the vendor data then I call in other users for references. I read other reviews from other websites and compare each of the reviews to see how they all relate, confirm and complement each other. There might be other topics that the other reviews cover that are not always covered in the vendor data or other sources.
TrustRadius stood out, as the reviews that I read are very relatable. It is very detailed and relevant to the information, features, pros and cons that I was looking for in the products. Some review sites are just disgruntled users that want to complain versus TrustRadius where the users also put in what's good about the product so you can really weigh the pros and cons.
Yes [user reviews affected my interactions with vendors]. I always value and look at reviews. I try to learn from people's experiences in order to know what to avoid and see how I can handle the unavoidable. They say sometimes the best way to learn is from your mistakes but I think it's better to learn from other people's mistakes.
