Overall Satisfaction with TrustRadius for Buyers

I was looking for a work item management tool, combined with collaboration tool. I also wanted those tools to have clear association with the actual code commits. I was the one researching for the tools, and making the actual purchase.
  • To understand my options (i.e. build my short list or long list)
  • To compare products
  • To confirm my decision
I mainly went over other buyers' reviews, looking for pros and cons, and seeing if there were any obvious "pitfalls" I hadn't considered.
I look for short reviews, mainly ones built as pros and cons. I value suggestions and comments, and seeing how people see this product in relation to others, things like "this is much better product than XYZ because..."
Reviews are actually the MOST important part of the buying process. There's nothing like reading a good review. I usually take my time and read at least 20 reviews before coming to a decision, both good or bad.
  • Well organized
  • Nice dashboard
  • REVIEWS!!
  • I'd sort reviews also by best and worst reviews, since most reviews are positive. It's also interesting to see the number of reviews in comparison to other tools.
Vendor site, and free internet search in Stack Overflow or Quora.
Without a doubt, TrustRadius is much more organized and to the point.
Seems like a good, crowd-based, independent source of information. Information is laid out nice and efficient (with some room for improvement).
