Overall Satisfaction with TrustRadius for Buyers

We were looking to purchase a conversational marketing tool at the SaaS company I worked for. This is a competitive space with a lot of advanced vendors to choose from. I am a tech administrator so I make a recommendation to the buying team on what solution will best fit our needs and workflow. We evaluated Drift and Intercom and chose Drift.
  • Detailed reviews
  • Clear analysis
  • Easy to compare companies
  • Not as many reviews as competitors
  • No magic quadrant
  • Not as much direct vendor info
Vendor was upfront about pricing so this doesn't apply
I like TrustRadius' blend of a large list of vendors, decent amount of reviews, as well as ease of navigation on the website. I think peer insights is more IT focused and is harder to extract value from compared to TrustRadius when evaluating sales and marketing technology. G2 review requirement is pretty light so a lot are fluff.
We did not use these reports when making a decision.
Product score is a small piece of the puzzle. Ultimately a feature analysis, pricing, and our own audit of the technology capabilities is the most important factor when evaluating a technology purchase. Having reviews from similar companies certainly does help a vendor make their case though. A good product score is 90 or above.
The two biggest challenges when researching products is understanding the full integration and workload required to to implement a piece of technology. The impact this had on us was multiple calls with the vendor and our operations team to make sure that the technology could work out of the box and that our team would have the necessary bandwidth to support it.
TrustRadius gives detailed reviews from it's users. This is ultimately TrustRadius greatests strengths as many of their competitors don't require as much detail from their reviews and consequently you can't gain nearly as much insight from. I also like the ability to easily compare vendors and compare individual features so it's very detailed.
