Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Vendors were up front at all times about their own costs (for example, a basic plan), but were less forthcoming about add-ons until after the initial conversation and, in many cases, only when pressed. For example, one CRM under consideration showed a relatively low cost, but required several add-ons that didn't come to light until I joined and asked about their internal capabilities. It turned out that their internal capabilities were limited and greatly supplemented by these add-ons that cost additional money.

As for software pricing, I don't really rely on vendor information on TrustRadius because our purchase process always includes a negotiation step with a very tough dedicated team. During that step, vendors always include special offers and commercial tricks that make the pricing different from public pricing. I am interested in pricing information on TrustRadius though, in order to have an idea on what offers other users got.

While some vendors were not very transparent regarding pricing, some vendors were somewhat transparent.
However as the information about pricing typically intertwined with marketing strategies aimed at squeezing from customers more profit, often that would make the pricing obscure.

Ah, yes, some vendors will actually post pricing or provide pricing information when requested in a timely manner. Some vendors, on the other hand, are less than transparent about their software pricing, requiring me and the team to request pricing options more than once to get a real idea of what the software/project will cost. I think the more transparent firms tend to be the ones I like best.

Not all vendors are able to provide details on the pricing at all times. There is also a lack of information on the trial period of software and how many logins are made available during that period. Also how much hand-holding will be provided in the initial period of purchase.

Personally, I haven't encountered any vendors that were not transparent about pricing. Most vendors will let us know the price of what we are thinking of purchasing and then go into the bells and whistles of what comes with it. If a vendor didn't share pricing information, then we would end our conversation there because pricing is a big component to why we would purchase a brand new software.

On average most vendors are transparent about pricing until you get up to the "enterprise" tier, which is common for SaaS apps that we rely on. When pricing wasn't open shared either through TrustRadius or on their website, we were immediately suspicious that it would be outside of our budget and would look to other vendors whose pricing fell in line with our budget.

I find that the vendors here are very upfront and helpful. The honest information they provide helps companies like mine make the right decision when wanting to transition to new product that would allow their business to grow.

Most vendors are transparent about pricing. Vendors who don't provide pricing are usually very expensive. When they are not transparent about pricing, it's difficult for them to prove the value of the price. If the software is expensive, tell me why and validate the cost, don't hide it. I always prefer seeing pricing up front.

These days, most vendors are pretty upfront about pricing. Nobody likes to dig too deeply to have to figure out what something costs. When they're not however, it can be good to check out reviewer pricing ratings on TrustRadius and also to see how the pricing compares to competitor products.

We had a customer who asked us to cut through the BS of sales pages and look at what genuine consumers were saying. There is no hype, only actual individuals who utilise the product. The customer required a CRM that worked right out of the box and was simple to use. Every seller said the same thing to us. Not everyone has the best product. When you read the site's reviews, you're just seeing the best of the best. I need to know what actual troubles other individuals had and if they were in the same industry as myself.

I have not had a chance to speak to a TrustRadius vendor in terms of pricing. I use their upfront basic free service to evaluate different marketing platforms. When reviewing this content on their site, they seem very transparent and upfront about pricing information. I see this for their own product and also others hosted on the platform.

Most vendors when asked in a call provide pricing. If you are doing a cost comparison, some will refuse to give pricing without a call. In those cases they are likely removed from consideration unless their reviews place them far above the competition.

I have always trusted the information provided in the TrustRadius platform, and I have not had any issues related to misinformation at all. TrustRadius is a reliable platform, and the information I have obtained from it has been relevant all the time.

Vendor needs to share the pricing of tools and hidden costs so the user can take it without any problems. Every vendor can upload the reviews from TrustRadius or similar sites [to improve] user usage.
A better suggestion is not to take any tools without knowing the pricing and reviews. There may be many pros and cons of a tool.

Vendors are typically transparent up to a point. There seem to be more of "price buckets" than actual pricing. In order to get a firm quote, the majority of the vendors require a call or consultation with their sales people. I understand the need for this and chalk it up to solution tailoring.

Vendors are often not upfront about pricing and instead try to hook you into a feature/benefit and sell you on that before they give you pricing. I’ve had to be up front at the beginning of the conversation and say “I’m looking for X solution and I’d like to stay between this price point. If this isn’t something that you can accommodate, I’d rather not waste either of our time.” Vendors know what pricing they can/cannot accommodate and so if they can’t give me that up front, I thank them for their time and end the call there. The two in our final decision were open about pricing at the beginning.

Vendors for the most part were honest and upfront with their pricing. In the rare cases where pricing seemed to be somewhat opaque, those vendors were dropped from our consideration. The biggest problem is that we struggled to get an ‘apples to apples’ comparison as some vendors charge by seat, there’s charge by modules, and others have a more complex pricing design.
