Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro

I am mainly using UKG Pro portal for applying leaves (vacation, sick leave and casual leave). We can also see our history of leaves like carry forward and pending leaves of year. The business problem which is being solved here is all information can be stored in one place like personal details , organization details , job details and compensation summary.

Pros

  • We can apply shortcuts that are visible on homepage for our daily activities like Request time offs, goals and upcoming schedules/ meetings.
  • Personal development plans can be added and we can update for the progress as well - good excerise for career development or upskill.
  • Take record of my timecards and my accruals

Cons

  • Personally I am not big fan of interface I get lost to fine something
  • At times my timecard doesnt show up I had to load everytime
  • Sometimes I dont get any approved leave notification after my manager approves, I had to go back and ask for the update.
  • Manual work has been reduced which has lowered admin cost.
  • Employee satisfaction in the end matters I feel for the products success indicator.
  • 50-60% of HR inquiries have been reduced because of self service HR UKG Pro portal is there .
Request Time off and approvals is the most useful feature I feel . Then we have talent aquisition and onboarding process. Payroll processing and tax filings. Job profiles and organization structures at one place. Timesheets management and attendance . Career and goal development and also quaterly performance reviews. These all benefits have helped our organization
I have a wonderful story to narrate where in taking day off has made my life much easier. With UKG Pro the process has become much simple I just log on in the portal even this can be done from mobile app select my vacation date or other reason of leave may be sick leave or casual leave and submit the request my manager gives me instant approval.
First of all I would answer why not 10 - because User interface is not good.
Rest of features are just of employee ease and benefits may be its HR, payroll, time , benefits and talent .Mobile access to all this features make it more convinent for employees use . Totally worth it- tool has transformed the way we were doing manual process to automate.
  • Okta and DKM (Dynamic Knowledge Management)
UKG Pro provides me with all the required information that is needed for doing daily offcial activities for employement total development whereas if I talk about other tools like Okta - which emphasize more on monthly/quaterly/yearly commission or offical approvals . DKM is emphasizing specific on payroll management. UKG Pro is combo package of the other two that is why we moved to UKG Pro

UKG Pro portal is best Suited-
1. For Request Time off /applying leave.
2. Career goals set up and timely review and update.
3. Daily schedules can be easily accessed.
UKG Pro portal is less appropriate-
1.UI needs major improvement - I still feel lost although I am using this product since past 3 years.
