Overall Satisfaction with UKG Ready

Our entire hospital system uses UKG Ready for our HR and Payroll needs. All employees are responsible for recording their time, completing reviews, and reviewing their pay data within the system. UKG Ready streamlines the process between HR and payroll and allows us all to see everything and work much more efficiently. Our auditors also love the audit functions and security management between departments.

  • The payroll process specifically is very well laid out.
  • Communication! UKG has really stepped up on communication and training especially around tax related deadlines.
  • Roll-out of improvements-there are updates and changes frequently. It's hard to keep up with some of the changes.
  • Support case response has really slowed since UKG has expanded.
  • Training for end-users-it would be helpful if UKG had training materials for things like timesheets, reviews, and reviewing data within the system.

We previously used CPSI. It was an incredibly outdated system with little information for our employees. It was definitely a major upgrade from this system. We previously used 2+ systems for our HR and payroll management. UKG was the only product we really dug into after leaving CPSI. It's been a great update.
We have a lot of pay rules and merit increase processes in our system and UKG can handle them. However, we have run into a roadblock and had to switch to their new pay calculation profile that resulted in additional cost to our company. For the most part, the system does what we need efficiently.
In the payroll position, UKG gives me great access to see all of the HR and payroll data in one place. It's so helpful to easily be able to flip to an employee's profile, documents, or audit trail to see changes made, confirm adjustments, and see recent documents from the employees. I am a one-person payroll department with over 600 employees and I could not get my job done timely without UKG.
UKG has really ramped up on their training and communications. They have a UKG community that allows you to use self-help search tools and also ask other UKG community members questions. You can also put in tickets when an issue can't be resolved through the community. UKG does have training videos within the system for employees and all positions, but it's a bit confusing. We don't have employees actively using this feature.
After several years of using UKG, I would say it's pretty easy to use. UKG has really stepped it up with communication and instructionals, however there are a lot of changes happening regularly which can make it a little harder to stay on top of.
We have an integration with another system and although it works well, it is hard to manage issues between the 2 systems. It would be helpful if customer support was quicker and more clear on who to reach out to.

UKG Ready is easily accessible - I love that it's web based. No need to use the VPN network. This really helps managers when they are on vacation, but need to do work. It's also helpful for employees to have a streamlined view between the desktop at work and at home. The system in my opinion is pretty user friendly. I love the audit trails - it really helps you keep track of possible errors and find information that may have accidentally been deleted.

620 - All employees UKG for timesheets, time off, and performance reviews. Manager use it for timesheet processing, merit increases, and payroll budget information.

We used a very manual system prior to moving to UKG. We needed something that we could work with outside of regular payroll runs to prepare payments for payroll. It's also very helpful to have HR and Payroll in one place.

UKG Ready Implementation

It was very helpful having 2 people help me through the first payroll, but instructions were non-existent.
Yes - HR was implemented first and then timesheet & payroll were enrolled.

Yes - No, the case was sent for "PAR Reporting" which usually won't get fixed until the next roll-out.
When we initially started with UKG, the customer service was great. Using the community helped me enter details and screenshots so the rep could research before calling me back. This really helped resolve issues faster.
UKG support has gone downhill as they've gotten larger. Response is slower and often I seem to know more than the support specialist helping.
