Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use UltiPro for HR, Payroll, Onboarding, Recruiting, Succession Management, and Time Management.

Pros and Cons

Succession Management - Easy to use, allows for ranking of candidates, and good BI Reporting capabilites.
Platform Config allows for customs configs on key pages, good documentation for setup, PC SME's are helpful.
Workflow configuration - Easy to use and track, BI Reporting is available.

Platform configuration - Needs to be available on more tabs.
Customer service - Ticketing is frustrating. Cannot speak directly with an SME without waiting for a call-back on most issues. With ADP, you can speak directly with someone who can help you right away.
Import Tool - This can be laid out a little differently to allow a 1,2,3 process. The tab order doesn't make sense.

UltiPro Business Outcomes

Consolidating HR administration under a single solution

We combined all former processes into one system, which was vital to ensure data was correct and the same across all functions. We would love to use Onboarding for all of our employee types as previously discussed. HR and Finance can work together better now while "in the same house," and the tracking of employee data has really improved.

Performance

We have several custom reports that do bog down the system and require a long time in order to run. Some I have to run in the background and have them emailed to me. Overall, we don't have many problems with pages loading. We do have integrations outside of Ultimate, and we don't have issues with those integrations.

Support Rating

Most all interactions that I have with customer support are great, but it is the time for the response that is lack luster. I sometimes wait for days for a callback, and that is very disappointing, especially when it is BI support that I need. BI chat is hit or miss. It is sometimes helpful, but sometimes I am instructed to open a case and then just wait.

Exceptional Examples of UKG Pro Support

Import Tools assistance. I have found this area to be the best when it comes to assistance and SME knowledge. I was worried about support for this area, but I was pleasantly surprised at the depth of assistance I have experienced for the template set up. I also have experienced faster response time in this area from customer support.

Likelihood to Recommend

UltiPro is a great tool for HR, and offers good tracking of employee data from recruiting to onboarding to core. Onboarding needs to allow for the I-9 and tax forms to be toggled off. This is frustrating for us since we can't leverage it for our contractors and temps who do not need to complete these forms.
