Overall Satisfaction with VWO

VWO is a personalisation tool for web production that my organiastion uses to personalise content for different audiences - this includes tailoring messages and language for different countries or markets, as well as based on information obtained by other providers like ClearBit i.e. tailoring a message or advert that a web user sees because we can identify that they come from a specific sector, company or country. It is used to run various tests, also, to see how things are performing.

Pros

  • Personalisation tests
  • Reporting
  • Usability

Cons

  • Number of tests available
  • Pricing structure
  • Integration with other tech stack
  • Makes clearbit data more actionable
  • Saves time on testing
Overall VWO is quite good with general user usability, and every person who has had to take up the mantle of using the tool itself has found it manageable. However there is definitely some room for improvement - again, perhaps this is particularly the case because we are running a large number of tests in a number of different languages (and markets, and countries!) which requires a lot of upkeep.
We used to use Proof, but when we then stacked them up against VWO, VWO had some additional functionality and integration capabilities that Proof did not have which gave us greater ability to do some more website experimentation and personalisation options. VWO integrates with clearbit and had better tech onboarding to our wider cms and systems.

Do you think VWO delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with VWO's feature set?

Yes

Did VWO live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of VWO go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy VWO again?

Yes

VWO is well suited, in my experience, to an organisation who wants to make a number of small personalisation elements to their website and test different things. We are quite a large organisation, working in multiple languages, markets, countries etc. and sometimes this means that we want to run and test too many things at once - it may be our pricing model, but I also think there is a limit on how many personalisation tests we can run with VWO at a given time.
