Overall Satisfaction with Vyond (formerly GoAnimate)

Currently only the marketing department has used Vyond. However, we have been working with the training department to teach them how to use the product to create some new-hire on-boarding videos. We also worked with HR on a history of our company video. Our executive team members have even used it for board presentations. Vyond is as easy to use as most of the professional presentation products and can be used for a wide variety of needs within our organization.
  • Allows us to make high-quality animated videos in-house and eliminate the spending with agencies to do something that we can do ourselves.
  • Ease of use. The fact we could use it day one without any help speaks volumes. There weren't weeks of onboarding and training, it was a similar set-up with other presentation products and that allowed us to get up and go quickly.
  • We were able to take voice, sound effects, music and add them to the video and edit without much trouble at all.
  • The limitations were only from us, not from what we hoped to get out of Vyond.
  • For us, this was just about providing a fun alternative to our already large content library. This offers a different approach to provide the same information we are providing in our weekly blog posts.
  • Because we are using this as a top of funnel solution we are seeing the interaction early on in the customer journey.
We looked at a lot of agencies and used agencies for this type of content in the past. The cost to make one video was as much as a yearly subscription to Vyond and sometimes even more. With Vyond, we can create as many videos as we like and all it takes is the time needed to create and finalize the video with resources we already have. I feel what we can get from Vyond, while maybe not equal to the custom animation and character creation we have gotten from agencies, is totally equal to the challenge and really does provide us everything we need.
Vyond is just an animated video creation tool. You have to use your video content and track its performance through other means. Because it is an online tool it doesn't hog your resources or slow down any other tools that I use. It is a stand-alone product and it doesn't need to integrate with any of our other tools. It does what it does and that is all we need.
For being a video creation tool, it is amazingly simple to use! The interface is a lot like other popular presentation tools, so if you are comfortable with Powerpoint or Prezi, or any other such tools, you can use Vyond. Scenes are set up a lot like these tools, you just have the ability to animate and add actions and create a full video using this tool. But the tool is so simple anyone can use it, the only limit is your imagination.
I rate this at a 10 because there is nothing to integrate it into. You create the video and then download the file and use it in whatever video platform you want to use it in. You can download .gif or in .mp4 format. You can choose between different resolutions and sizes to fit your needs.
Depending on the type of audience or video you are hoping to produce, you may not want to use Vyond, especially if you are looking at custom animation. However, this is not what Vyond tries to present itself as being. They provide all the tools needed to create outstanding short videos with enough animation and action to suit most everyone's needs. I especially love the syncing of lips with the narration.
