Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint
AuthPoint gives us an ability to have a secure VPN while still offering MFA to our employees. Its an easy to use application and our end users really seem to like it. We have not had any issues with explaining to the end user how to use it or troubleshoot issues. We have only had one issue with AuthPoint and that was due to an iOS issue.
Pros
- Ease of use.
- Security.
Cons
- iOS high sierra didn't work with a recent update.
- Migrating the token.
- Loss of connection if wifi isn't stable.
- Allowed users to work remotely.
- Allowed us to have Multifactor Authentication.
- Gave us another layer of security.
Before AuthPoint we used the native windows VPN client and it worked okay but didn't offer the security or out of box configuration that WatchGuard did. We also used peplink routers however we didn't feel that it offered the flexibility or scalability that we wanted out of our VPN service.
I love how easy it is to manage. Plenty of times I have had to connect to the cloud control panel and reset a user or unlock them from my cell phone or home computer. It is extremely easy to connect and I enjoy how simple the interface is to move around in.
AuthPoint being able to be on the users' phones is an amazing feature. It has been one of the main positives for us. Having the token on the cell phone means that as long as you have an internet connection and their VPN software you can remote in on any machine.
