Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint
We are a reseller and use WatchGuard Fireboxes in our data center. We needed an MFA platform that integrated with our Active Directory and also our Firebox so users could authenticate on our Router before remoting into Remote Desktop Servers. AuthPoint enabled us to set up a dual MFA integrated with ActiveDirectory.
- Router integration.
- Active directory integration.
- WG Cloud integration.
- More redundancy with External Identities so more Domain Controllers to sync.
- IT allowed us to quickly implement MFA for our Router and Remote Desktop Servers.
For the most part this has worked well. The only issue is for our internal Account users we cannot manage their access to cloud.watchguard.com to create new MFA Tokens for them when needed. Have to go through WatchGuard support and that isn’t always immediate. So if an internal user cannot login to support.WatchGuard.com to create a ticket and then have to call in for support, it can take hours to get resolved. So their support is lacking in regards to internal users. As far as managing AuthPoint with ExternalIdentities, Groups, sync with Active Directory via WG Cloud, that has worked well.
