Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint
We have been using WatchGuard Firewall products for many years in our organization. When the Covid-19 pandemic happened, we needed a way to allow employees to work from home and authenticate securely to our company network. We utilized WatchGuard AuthPoint as a way to accomplish this. AuthPoint's ability to integrate with our domain and provide seamless multifactor authentication has been a life saver for our IT staff and employees.
- Easy to use mobile phone applications for approving access.
- Seamless integration with on-premise domains and users.
- Cloud management that is always available.
- Documentation could be improved.
- Ability to use SMS for authorization codes could be helpful.
- Better way to transfer tokens to new devices.
- Employees like the ease of use when authenicating.
- Easy for IT staff to administer.
AuthPoint is easy to administer from anywhere. It is nice to not need any additional hardware than what we had in place. We needed to add a connector to our Domain to migrate users between AuthPoint and our servers. That software has been working great since it was installed.
The AuthPoint app on iPhone and Android is really easy for our users. Once notifications for the app are enabled, the push notification from AuthPoint comes quickly. If needed, the one-time passcode is also available in the app.
We don't use AuthPoint in this manner. We still rely on Windows authentication for accessing Windows.
