Webex app is the official chatting platform in our company. We use it for day-to-day IMs and meetings inside our [organization]. You can use it to IM [another] user from [another] organization using the app. You can have groups as well with multiple people. It saves the chat which makes it easy to utilize in [the] future We can use it for calls as well as meeting It solves all [problems] of collaboration within [the organization] as well as outside. The UI is friendly and it gives [the] option of polling and many other apps inside the group chat.

Skype for Business (formerly Lync) and now part of Microsoft Teams

Skype for Business doesn't have [the] option to save chats. Very old UI. Not user-friendly.

Organization (small to large-sized) where you can use to chat within/outside organization. There are too many merits including file scanning for [viruses], bots you can create for help zone in your organization. You can't use it for personal use/very small business. Also cant [used it] in [a] commercial space where you need to force the user to login.
