Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use webex on a daily basis to chat with people from other companies. This is a great way to keep contact with former colleagues from previous companies.

Pros and Cons

meeting organisation and scheduling
media sharing

group chat, i found the interface a little bit messy when i want to quote or react to a message

great way to share knowledge
nice tool to ask for a quick information

Alternatives Considered

Microsoft Teams, Discord, Skype for Business and now part of Microsoft Teams

Webex compete nicely with other communication tools but it only really shines when you use the whole cisco environment and start using all of its capabilities like chatbots notification planning and such.

Usability

it works well out of the box but there is still room for improvment. I thing the user interface can be improved.

Likelihood to Recommend

Webex is a great tool to chat with people from other companies but i am not a big fan of how it handle video calls.

Cisco Webex might not be the greatest tool for IM but it is the most reliable and I know it will follow me from companies to companies.
