One Acquia DAM (Widen) to rule them all
Overall Satisfaction with Widen
We use Acquia DAM (Widen) as a repository for over 4,000 photos of our window coverings. We also use the portal feature to design targeted, curated experiences where users find photos, PDFs, and other files related to a specific campaign or project. The system is used by our network of 5000 dealers as well as our marketing and communications staff. We had previously used a patchwork of Google Drive, Box.com, Adobe Assets, and moving everything to Acquia DAM (Widen) and creating a single source of truth has really streamlined our Marcomm world.
Pros
- The user experience is delightful to engage with
- The portals are easy to build and deliver great value
- The onboarding process was very well organized
Cons
- I find some of the training videos very slow
- The upload experience could be more powerful
- More integrations could be helpful (monday.com)
- Great Photography Management
- Portals
- Easy to Navigate, as well as search
- We were able to replace several vendors with this solution leading to cost savings
- We were able to empower our team across the country to contribue to the DAM
- We were able to rethink some metadata choices we made with our previous DAM
We are using it first for photos, then we will add brand assets (like social media ads) and finally migrate the technical documentation from our current solution.
Acquia DAM (Widen) has helped our dealer network find assets faster and easier than our previous solution. It was very easy to integrate with our current martech stack and even getting SSO up and running was a breeze. We love that all our assets are in one place and easily managed by our contributor team.
Bynder was our solution and we just didn't see any innovation over the last couple of years. AEM is where we house technical documentation, but we need a more capable DAM, not just a place to stick PDFs. MediaValet was close but we just felt Acquia DAM (Widen) was a bit more established and mature.
