Overall Satisfaction with WordPress

We use Wordpress to manage our internal and external product line. The front end in conjunction with plugins, offer our clients quote request options. The back-end offers sales staff product information not visible on the front-end.
  • User management with controlled access privileges.
  • Simple SEO management.
  • Simple content WYSIWYG management.
  • Custom field with formulas, as standard feature would be very handy.
  • Reporting similar to Access and Crystal reports would be good.
  • Backup of sites as standard vs plugin features.
  • Wordpress implementation has very low barrier of entry, thus leading to a quick ROI.
  • The cost of Wordpress was so insignificant vs the cost of advertising such as Adwords, that the ROI was not even a question.
  • Wordpress allowed for an agile approach to our internal sales training material and this accelerated our sales training by a good 80%.
Wordpress in my opinion is a simple tool albeit not as versatile as Filemaker and Odoo when it comes to database management.
Wordpress is generally WYSIWYG and user friendly and this means users with very little technical skill required. If however regular updates are required because of multiple plugins being used, the process can be beyond the basic skills limitations.
