Overall Satisfaction with WordPress

We used WordPress to host and manage our blog content and some content landing pages.

Pros

  • Organizing Content Topics.
  • Custom Design.
  • Managing Blog Comments.

Cons

  • Optimizing database queries for faster loading times.
  • We built an extensive content library on our blog, which held over 15 years of content and brought in a ton of traffic organically.
  • We leveraged landing pages for key content topics, which we used in conjunction with PR for promotion, and established quality backlinks.
Overall usability was great for our use cases, which allowed content writers to upload and generate blog content easily. There were some gaps with having to lean on our backend for design and administrative-related issues. That slowed down the process a bit.
Wordpress and Shopify don't support e-commerce. Wix is more design-focused. Blogger was limiting but easy to use with Google products.
