Overall Satisfaction with WordPress

We use WordPress to build websites and eCommerce sites of companies that want to be found organically. We work both with SaaS companies and eCommerce companies that sell nationally.

  • 3rd party companies advertising within the platform
  • Assuring plugins are well done
  • Page speed out of box
  • Brings in more organic traffic
  • Able to customize to unique business needs that drive revenue
You can do almost anything in WordPress with the right developer. Many paid plugins provide plug and play solutions.
I've just been using WordPress forever so it is my go to recommendation for non technical people

Yes

Did WordPress live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of WordPress go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy WordPress again?

No

If people are semi technical or already using WordPress, or want something free that doesn't lock them in, I recommend it. However with the legal issues with being Open Source and suing WordPress Engine, I no longer strongly recommend WordPress or have my clients switch over.
