Overall Satisfaction with Workplace by Facebook

Workplace is being used across the organization in order to collaborate and be aligned on our shared goals. As the central hub of communication of the company, Workplace helps each member be informed and updated about the company´s current initiatives and plans as well as allows groups and teams to organize and communicate to focus the efforts on things that will have an impact.
  • Extremely easy to use as-is modeled on Facebook's platform.
  • Works well in any device (mobile and desktop).
  • Very easy to upload media and share it with the teams.
  • It can be used for distraction rather than focus.
  • Hard to keep track on threads.
  • Notifications system needs to be improved.
  • It has helped us work together faster and better increasing ROI.
  • It has allowed us to replace other software that is more expensive, increasing our margins.
  • It boosts employee morale providing better results.
Unlike Slack and Teams, which come from the enterprise world, Workplace is a product born from a social networking company making it friendlier and "cooler" somehow. It feels more familiar, easy to use and it can be less formal and more relatable. In terms of functionality, it doesn't have any disadvantage against its competitors.
I think Workplace is a solid product that delivers results and is designed for the worker that works on the go from their phone and needs to be updated on what is happening on the company at any given time. I recommend it as I have had a good experience working with it.

Workplace is good for big organizations or remote locations where a central hub of communication is very useful and you can foster a sense of community and closure between different teams that work in different time zones. It is useful for big international companies but may not be best for smaller organizations.
