Overall Satisfaction with Wrike

We are are a small publishing organization that produces books and video based curriculums. In addition to producing these assets we also handle all our own marketing campaigns and customer support services. Wrike serves as the tool to not only track the production of our products, but also all our campaigns and operations.

Pros

  • Asset reviews
  • Workflow customization and automations
  • Multiple views for projects (i.e. Gantt, calendar, resourcing, etc.)

Cons

  • More flexibility on custom reporting
  • Better integrations with other PM tools like Jira
  • More streamlined communication across individuals and teams
  • Time savings have occurred across all projects due to organizing principles we've been able to implement through Wrike
We haven't fully rolled out these features in our workflows yet, but we have been testing out some of the automation features and they seem promising!
There is a bit of a learning curve to using Wrike that takes time, but once you get through that phase Wrike is an extremely useful tool that becomes really intuitive once you get used to it.

Would you buy Wrike again?

Yes

Wrike is great for publishing and marketing teams and covers the wide gamut of assets that could be produced by such teams (ebooks, print files, videos, social media, etc.). We are also doing discovery to bring in our accounting teams as we can see how it would also translate to that use case as well. Where it still isn't top tier is in how it's structured for development teams. Wrike is definitely more catered to creatives than programmers.
