Overall Satisfaction with Wunderlist
Wunderlist is primarily used as a fill in the gap product. We're pretty agnostic when it comes to note taking apps, but use JIRA exclusively for project management. That means there's a gap between note taking apps like Evernote and JIRA since JIRA is such an extremely heavy application. Wunderlist has helped as a quick and lightweight personal task management and reminder app for those who use it!
- Lightweight and extremely easy to use
- Connects well with IFTTT to act as a go between for many other apps
- Robust feature set in the free version, and even more in paid
- Team sharing isn't as powerful as it could be
- The Apple Watch app is not really useful at all
- No labeling on tasks once entered - would be helpful for sorting
- Wunderlist has made quick captures on the fly during meetings more possible
- Wunderlist has helped as a reminder on multiple tasks to do by end of day
- Wunderlist continues to provide value as an affordable and lightweight app
The most direct competitor to Wunderlist I used was Todoist - while they are very similar, the ability to sort and stack folders in Wunderlist was what won me over. The way I like to organize my thoughts and tasks fit better into the stacked folder method in Wunderlist. In a way, it also competes with shorthand note taking apps like Google Keep - which I found frustrating due to its lack of formatting options on the notes themselves. Wunderlist felt more intuitive, and fit the need of that lightweight catch all app that it does so well.
