Overall Satisfaction with Wunderlist

I use Wunderlist in my work and life to manage tasks or checklists of items across a broad range of applications. Many will see Wunderlist is another to-do list app and it does serve that function, but within my own business (a sole proprietorship) I use it to manage projects, keep track of important tasks and set reminders for what needs doing by a deadline.
  • Managing projects and tasks.
  • Setting reminders for important dates or deadlines.
  • Limited options regarding appearance (themes, backgrounds).
  • No "preview" view option for tasks in lists.
  • Helped to zoom in on what matters right now through compartmentalized lists.
  • Reduced the need to keep tabs on scheduled tasks.
Both Trello and Remember the Milk offer their own value in managing tasks and projects. Wunderlist is the best simple task manager I've come across in that it focuses on the critical features you'd want in a task manager - great interface, ease of use, and accessible anywhere. Trello is more suited for larger projects that require more detail and metadata for tracking in a more Kanban-like approach, and Remember the Milk has lots of great features but it can be easy to get bogged down in the details. Wunderlist offers a clean, lightweight interface and feature set that just works and makes task management a breeze.
Wunderlist has been well-supported during its lifetime but as it has aged that support has fallen off somewhat since its acquisition by Microsoft and a shift in focus to Microsoft's To-Do application.

Wunderlist really excels at task management and deadline reminders. It makes it very easy to quickly input tasks, assign a due date, and have it notify you when its time to get to work on some task. It synchronizes across your desktop and mobile devices for quick and easy access to your lists wherever you may be. It excels as a way to manage personal or professional tasks and lists (think your daily to-dos or grocery list) and to a limited extent as a project management tool.
