Overall Satisfaction with Zoho Social
We use Zoho Social as our central hub for all our clients' social media. It helps us solve three main business problems. First, it keeps us organized. Instead of messy spreadsheets and long email chains, all our planning and posts are in one clean space. Second, it shows us what works. We use its reports to see which posts our clients' audiences love, so we stop guessing and make smarter content decisions. Third, it speeds up client approvals. They can see and approve work directly in the tool, which saves everyone time. Our scope is simple: every client and every social media channel we manage runs through Zoho Social. We use it for the entire process, from planning and scheduling to publishing and checking the results.
Pros
- For Our Studio: We use it for our own marketing. Our team drafts all our social media posts, and I can review and approve them directly in the app. It keeps our brand’s content consistent and saves us from needing internal meetings.
- For a Financial Advisor Client: A client needed high security and didn't want to share her passwords. Using Zoho Social, she connected her accounts herself. We prepare the posts, and she gets a notification to approve them, giving her full control without compromising security.
- For a Nutritionist Client: A nutritionist who was overwhelmed by social media now finds it easy. She adds her ideas to the "Collaborate" tab, and we turn them into posts. She just has to look at a simple calendar and approve the work, making communication clear and stress-free.
Cons
- Posting Interactive Instagram Stories. We can't use Instagram’s most engaging features when we post a story from Zoho Social. We cannot add things like polls, question stickers, sliders, or trending music. Because these tools are essential for audience interaction, we still have to manually upload stories from the Instagram app to use them. This makes the scheduling feature for stories much less useful.
- Adding Audio to Reels and Shorts. You can schedule a Reel or YouTube Short, but you cannot access the platforms' libraries of trending audio within Zoho Social. A video’s success often depends on using a popular sound. This limitation means we either have to post a video with no trending music, which hurts its reach, or upload it manually through the app, which defeats the purpose of scheduling.
- It's Not Built for a Video-Heavy Strategy. Due to the issues with Stories and Reels, we wouldn't recommend Zoho Social to a business that relies heavily on video content. The workflow is not smooth enough. Simple things like choosing a good video thumbnail are difficult because the preview is too small. For any brand focused on creating daily, engaging videos, the current limitations create more work than they save.
- The main benefit is convenience, which for us, equals time. By having all client activities in one central place, our team saves several hours every week. That is time that is no longer wasted on switching between apps, searching through emails for feedback, or coordinating tasks.
- Our content strategy is more consistent now because of the clear planning tools. More importantly, our client approval process is much faster. Approvals that used to take days of back-and-forth now often happen within a few hours. This means we can deliver our final work to clients more quickly, which they appreciate.
- A major negative impact is that the tool is not optimized for a modern, video-heavy strategy. The workflow for posting Instagram Reels and interactive Stories is clunky and inefficient. For our clients who rely on video, the time we save on standard posts is often lost due to these limitations. This reduces the tool's overall value and ROI for a significant part of our business.
- Hootsuite, Buffer and Sprout Social
We chose Zoho Social because it hit the perfect middle ground for our agency. It had the essential features we needed—strong scheduling, good analytics, and an excellent and secure collaboration portal for our clients—at a price that was much more affordable. The ability to give each client their own portal without them needing to share passwords was a huge factor. Ultimately, Zoho Social gave us about 80% of the features of the big enterprise tools for a fraction of the cost, which was the smart choice for our business.
