Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Workplace

As we are a fully remote team spanning across multiple countries, we use Zoom Workplace for both internal meetings and calls with clients, which allows us to stay connected and pursue business goals even with the distance. As such, Zoom Workplace is used daily - even multiple times on most days.

Pros

  • Ease to connect with others
  • Annotation and react features, very interactive specially when someone is sharing their screen
  • Waiting rooms are very useful for back-to-back meetings or to organize the agenda before letting an external source in the room.

Cons

  • In my experience, Zoom Workplace is such a resource hog that I often have to limit what other programs I have open at the same time so my computer doesn't crash.
  • In my experience, it also constantly messes up audio and lowers/deactivates your microphone without you asking.
  • In my experience, the Zoom Workplace camera ratio is very different from other platforms, and makes everyone look far more zoomed in than they really are.
  • Improved collaboration across remote teams.

Yes

Zoom Workplace is the industry standard at this point, and the ability to make private rooms with customizable links is a nice touch that helps with your business' branding. However, it performs poorly on older devices, the UI can be hard to get used to at first, and has audio issues that I don't experience with any other similar software.
