ABBYY FineReader
[ABBYY FineReader is well suited] to edit advanced documents that contain text, images, tables, columns among others, I used it when I have a large text file and they ask me to go in editable file type like docx, Another common use is when in documents there is personal or sensitive information that should not be public knowledge and you want to cure or erase this information without prejudice to the understanding of the background of the document.

Evernote
It's great for collaboration on document drafts, meeting notes, and simply unloading things from your brain to a safe place. It is a great tool for standardizing note-taking across an organization because of its platform independence. It does lack some flexibility if you want to share with "Editors" to make suggestions. The only current option for collaboration is equivalent to Google docs "Edit" collaboration feature, which is a lot. Overall, still one of the best pure note-taking options out there that work on pretty much every device/browser.

Evernote
- Handwriting Note Sketching: Automated scripts to convert rough lines into perfectly straight lines and circles makes life extremely easy for note-taking. I have always enjoyed the capability of writing notes directly in the Evernote software using my Wacom Tablet PC's
- Organizing Notes: Not only can notes be organized by notebooks and notebook groups, but one can also tag notes to organize relevant thoughts/projects within the same notebook.
- Related Notes: Automated system which reviews the contents of current notes and recommends related notes in your notebook. I cannot tell you how many times I've forgotten about another note buried in the archive related to some projects I'm currently working on.
- Note Searching - Easy to search through documents, handwritten notes, photos, and PDF documents stored in your notebooks to find exactly what you're looking for. My search hasn't failed me in eleven years, I can always find a note/thought I'm looking for.
- Cross-platform accessibility: This was the largest draw for me originally. The ability to jot a note on my work PC, and have access to those notes on any device, even a smartphone with no internet access (offline mode activated).
- Note History: Excellent feature added eight years ago which tracks note changes over time. It's been quite handy to recover data accidentally erased and remained unnoticed for weeks/months.
- Excellent clipping application for PC: low resource usage and I appreciate how different hotkeys allow the user to chose how to take a screenshot (save to Evernote, save to desktop, save to clipboard). I cannot even estimate how many times per day I use the Evernote screen clipper function.
- Note Synchronization: Notes are always synchronized so the most recent version is presented across all devices.

ABBYY FineReader
- A versioning system of the work done or the editions that have been saved in the files, or a tracking of changes between one version and another would be fabulous
- An improvement that would be asked would be as previews or suggestions of the type of file that could be beneficial to use in an edition
- The redesign of the panels is that of the analyzed document, the edition and the changes in my opinion need a resizing to have a better view of the work

- Formatting was a complaint of mine for a long time. It is not as robust as Microsoft Word, but it is improving.
- The ability to do simple calculations. Say you have a list of ten items and want to sum the cost - that cannot be done in Evernote automatically.

I can't really imagine how much they'd have to charge me to make me quit Evernote. I can't really think of any technology that has changed my life as much without going back to email in the 90s, or the introduction of the iPhone. I know I sound ridiculous, but it would be really tough for me to live without it. If I were forced to choose between my smart phone (and keep in mind that I get lost in my driveway) and my Evernote, I'd probably choose my Evernote.

- Basic visual organization - ability to create a notebook and store user notes inside of it.
- Basic easy navigation - You can quickly move in and out of files and notes.
- User intuitive addition - whatever you need to add to your document, it's relatively easy to understand and use.
- We find overall that we still want some functionality in creating better task lists, boards, and other things that we find in Notion - which is the tool that we use as a team notebook/storage space.

Generally issues are by connectivity and not Evernote availability but I have had issues in the past with cross-client consistency of data which Evernote Support has ID'd as bugs that are still unresolved as far as I know

I bet you won’t even need to call their support. Their product has never failed me. Simply put. But if you were to email them to gather some details or help, I bet they won’t disappoint you. Don’t worry about the support, it’s the last thing you should worry about this product.

Make sure you think about your tags. If you end up with multiple similar tags then things aren't grouped together as you might prefer. For instance if you have a tag called Disney and Walt Disney, this will split up your articles. Evernote makes it simple to correct, but I suggest you make sure your users look closely at the existing tags before creating new ones.

Alternatives Considered
ABBYY FineReader
Although both have functionalities that they share, in ABBYY FineReader they are better implemented, they have a better performance, in addition to being a more intuitive and simple user that makes their learning curve relatively simple, it is as if the options I need are always available. the hand and not within complicated menus or overloaded interfaces

Evernote
As hard as it was to get Evernote set up to my liking until I took a course, I felt like OneNote allowed too much freedom. It aspired to be a true digital notebook, letting you place text and images wherever you want on a page. I prefer more structure, so Evernote felt right to me.

Evernote
- The system facilitates working life in information management. An order of magnitude faster than self-recorded recordings
- Now all the information in one place: notes, business cards, scanned documents, contracts, saved web pages. And a unified search system! It is very important
