It is good for measurements of performance testing. It can be used to run API testing. I can not use this for monitoring but it can be used as a complement for monitoring tools (like Catchpoint or New Relic). It can help to produce load on your site and monitor.

Pros
  • It helps in Ticket Inflow analysis (both qualitative and quantitative) and provides Prescriptive, Predictive, and Descriptive insights, and correlates large volumes of information
  • It is also majorly useful as Automation opportunity finder. Helps delivery engagements to understand their current process baselines and Automation maturity level, and identify Automation and Optimization opportunities and potential benefits
  • Project health check prediction. It helps in predicting the overall status of projects for the required timeline and also recommends past issues faced by similar project and respective actions taken.

  • Blazemeter has very intuitive and uncluttered UI. It is very easy for a beginner to figure out and get started.
  • Blazemeter allows several methods of creating performance tests - using several popular open source applications. Therefore most often there is no need to learn to use a new tool or language.

Cons
  • It can improve in its integration capabilities. Currently we can integrate it with any Ticketing tool but usually it takes time due to many intricacies and this can be improved.
  • For few graphs and chart categories, we do not have the option to see the related incidents for that graphs. This is a drawback currently and I have been notified that its been worked upon and will be available in coming versions.
  • With huge amount of data it gets slow sometimes

  • BlazeMeter should not require the purchase of 2 dedicated IPs for each suite of performance tests.
  • BlazeMeter should make custom packages cheaper than they are today when purchased for an enterprise and should include dedicated IPs in the package.
  • BlazeMerer should have integration with Jenkins Pipeline 2.0.

  • There is a lot more the desktop tool can do. For example, we need to apply an upgrade to get the tool to talk to our infrastructure while employees are working from home. The tool was initially installed with the assumption that the desktops would be in UserLand. Instead after COVID-19 the desktop/laptops have been used for over a year on people's home networks. As of right now, we have to sync when the devices are connected to VPN. Moving forward with the upgrade, we will be getting this data over TLS when they are connected to the untrusted networks.
  • The concept of ignio AlOps requires OCM efforts within most operational teams. This isn't necessarily the fault of the tool itself, but when implementing ignio, or any AIOps tool, the team will get a lot of pushback as an outside team is centralizing the operational improvements. The tool should have a centralized intake process that will allow the collection, ranking, and management of automation opportunities. ignio AlOps should then simulate the proposed efficiencies from implementing something within the backlog. Right now a lot of local teams are having a hard time getting on the same page as the enterprise teams, and a common methodology for prioritizing (even if overly simplistic) would go a long way to enterprise planning.
  • These tools are very new and things get added to them all the time. There should be a way for the product's stakeholders and process owners to understand the additional value ignio AlOps is gaining over time.

ignio AIOps version upgrades were a heavy lift. Having to learn a new language versus an industry standard language took time. More consideration on overall internal long-term support needs to be determined.
