Agile Hive vs. Celonis vs. UiPath Process Mining

Agile Hive is used for our value train
within a SAFe setup. Every quarter we organize a so-called Product Increment
(PI) Planning, where we plan all Features and Enablers in Agile Hive.
Based on the priority of the Product Manager all teams plan their Features and
Enablers accordingly to the sprints that are determined by the Release Train
Engineer and set up in Agile Hive. The teams then create User Stories and
estimate them and based on their sprint velocity (defined in Agile Hive)
Product Owners can see how many Features and Enablers are realistic in one
quarter (Product Increment). Further, dependencies across teams can be defined
and made visible in Agile Hive, so that the plan is feasible. Without Agile
Hive it would be hard or impossible to plan across several teams within a value
train and to manage all dependencies. Additionally, with Agile Hive the plan is
more realistic, so what can be achieved within one quarter in product
development.

Some projects have already reached out to me, looking for input if they should do something similar. My feedback has been that Celonis has given us a lot in terms of understanding the process and giving us a baseline in order to measure what we do going forward. My feedback is that they need to be clear on their requirements and expectations of what they want to achieve in advance. Celonis is not a silver bullet that can identify problems and solutions, but it can give us a deep understanding once we know what we are looking for.

document understanding, which is a key aspect of process mining, has its strengths and weaknesses. Its capability with handwritten or scanned documents is not there yet - compared to its competitors such as Abbyy. However, the integration with Uipath orchestrator and the studio is fantastic, plus its ability to integrate seamlessly with other applications.

• We had to build a custom dashboard for tracking value realization, as the transformation center was minimal in scope. For a very value-focused company, this area can be improved, which would be incredibly beneficial.
• The current licensing model sometimes limits the ambitious value goals, as we can't experiment with building analyses in different areas without a long-term license for that process.

• It seems to be offered as a stand-alone product by UiPath which tends to increase the number of dedicated platforms that in-house developers have to mind. Integration into one of its already existing platforms would have been the best. Nonetheless, this does not impact its performance in any way, but rather the productivity of the user in the long run.

We have been able to leverage Celonis [greatly] because of the commitment and support we receive from our data scientist. I strongly believe that we would not be able to accomplish this without her assistance. Moreover, when we escalate matters, the product development is engaged and commits resources to make sure our initiatives/business cases are supported.

It's been such a helpful investment with a very good return on an investment. The amount of time alone we have been able to say by deploying UiPath Process Mining (formerly ProcessGold) has been worth it alone, not to mention the additional money we are able to generate through deploying these processes

It has in general a good usability, but there are some downsides, the big picture view of the entire product increment is too static, so there is no zoom in or zoom out. Mostly throughout planning it is necessary to zoom in to a sprint level and manage the user stories there. Also, the pig picture view has some limitations, because you cannot read the entire user story name (boxes are too small).

It is a great tool but also requires a lot of work to get it into a useable fashion. Part of this is on our end as we don't have the dedicated analyst function yet to really become self-sufficient with Celonis. It also uncovers a lot of data issues or at the very least, multiple rounds of development and data validation are required before getting to a position where the business users feel comfortable with the data being reflected. This is fairly normal with any data-related development effort and perhaps not unique to Celonis.

It's the best tool in the market.

We submit tickets to Celonis through product support. No assistance is generally provided, have to wait and the ticket is then escalated to product support in Germany. Many times we submit the ticket and the support desk asks us the same questions back where they should already have this information.

It a good product. I would definitely keep using it in the near future. We have had good feedback within the team and also from our stakeholders on the other side of the table. Right now, there isn't any other tool out there better for doing the tasks that UiPath is doing.

Celonis has a lot of tools to support the implementation.

With Jira Software alone it is also possible to plan a SAFe product increment planning, but it would be nearly impossible to see the overall big picture of all product teams involved in a release train. So, the planning on sprint level for one team would be more efficient, but the planning for a whole quarter with all dependencies across teams would be not feasible to present. Therefore, Agile SAFe enables value trains an efficient way to plan a product increment.

The major reason to choose Celonis is that it has enhanced decision-making in filtering the candidates. The frontend designer has nice graphics and has well-designed self-service. I particularly enjoy the visual editor, which allows you to create complicated PQL without having to write any code, as well as the numerous filtering choices, including process mining options.

UiPath platform allows more flexibility when developing processes and has a great product road map. They are investing in developing new features and improving their products which will allow our clients to accomplish more using UiPath.

• The previous IFRS 9 calculation method was reaching its end of life—Celonis is a direct replacement for us.
• When rebuilding our logic from the old system to the new, it gave us a much-needed opportunity to revamp and standardise company codes and, in some cases, even pick up some errors.

• Reusability stands out as one of our company's objectives. UiPath Process Mining offers performance data and analytics that guide us and act as benchmarking parameters while gauging the performance of our robots and processes.
• A company that is intending or already scaled, the accuracy of the performance analytics of your RPA strategy is most vital to minimise resource wastage. UiPath Process Mining has enabled us to track the correlation of our productivity and performance with the resources at hand and then come to rather more accurate business decisions in this regard.
