Airtable
Airtable is an incredibly powerful tool for basic spreadsheet tasks used in your departments, especially if those spreadsheets are being shared and used by multiple departments. It's a better designed spreadsheet, [compared to] what Excel and Google Sheets offers. [It] has multiple view options so that each team can see the data in the way that makes the most sense for their team.

Todoist: To-Do List & Task Manager
[Todoist: To-Do List & Task Manager] is a great tool to manage an individual's business and personal tasks. It is a very good tool for business managers to manage their tasks as well as the delegation of tasks. In this scenario, Todoist will work well for business teams. Todoist's introduction of Boards now allows individuals and teams, that use Kanban and similar methods, to manage their projects. There are other applications that have more developed board project management tools, so Todoist may choose to continue to evolve the Boards feature.

- Simplicity & Ease of Use - Todoist is very user-friendly and simple to understand. They make it easy to add tasks with dates, comments, priorities, and attachments while organizing your projects. It's similar to creating a checklist!
- Apps - I have Todoist on my phone, my MacBook and my iPad and they all sync seamlessly. I personally haven't run into any bugs using these apps for three years now and they're always pushing updates through. When I'm at a conference with my iPad, I can still see all of my tasks and when I'm on the go with my phone, I can see all my tasks too. I'm not tied to my work desktop!
- Price - For $3 a month for personal use and $5 a month per user for business use, Todoist's pricing is very reasonable. They also offer a free version which is very nice as well! So if you're looking for a project management software with no frills at a low cost, Todoist could be your savior!

Cons
Airtable
- Pricing model: we don't like how we have to pay per user.
- Calendar view: we wish the calendar view was better, or if there were different types of calendar views. Right now there is just one.
- Complicated: some parts of the app are a little complicated.

- A "calendar" view would be useful although that is currently solved for us with Google Calendar integration
- Windows app will occasionally freeze with no clear explanation nor way to solve it other than force quitting.
- Task search functionality is very limited and requires precise wording to find what you are looking for.

We will 10/10 renew the use of Airtable because it has brought great value to our team. Not only is Airtable affordable, but it's also user-friendly and helps our team be efficient. We no longer need to rely on Excel spreadsheets being passed from person to person via email. Furthermore, we aren't dealing with corrupt Excel spreadsheets and the need to salvage data when a file is accidentally altered.

It's such a friendly program to use, and there's just so many resources available to people trying to learn it or build new things. Their support is great, and they make it easy to find answers to your questions. It's easy to use but difficult to master, that might be a better way to put it.

One of the best things about Todoist is how easy it is to get up and running. The company had no difficulty in making it their go-to choice for task management. Additionally, creating a task and assigning it to others is dead simple (which is 99% of what a tool like this is used for!).

We find support easy to find, responsive and knowledgeable. In addition to a large selection of well-done help articles and webinars, there is a forum with quick support coming from Airtable staff and other users. We haven't had any issues in getting the information and support that we've needed.

I've been able to find answers to any questions I have in the support documents. You can explore key features and view ideas and best practices for getting organized with Todoist. You can also fill out a support form to submit a request for customized help if you run into anything not covered in the support documents.

Training all users was an important part of the implementation, which did take considerable time and effort. At first glance without training, the content calendar can be overwhelming because of the amount of data. The features within Airtable seem to be endless but our team was able to identify the most important to be successful.

Airtable combines the simplicity of a spreadsheet with the possibilities that come with a database, all within one tool. We have chosen it after a short evaluation. It is incredibly easy to use after a short training, making it a great tool compared to the typical spreadsheet-based apps.

Todoist is a little bit more straightforward of a User Experience than Trello in that it is almost strictly task-based, whereas there are several options for Trello in the "Card" views that often have confused people in my experience when sharing Trello Boards and Cards with them compared to Todoist.Todoist is a more slimmed-down version of Asana, and while Asana has some more visualization and project-based tools that I think Todoist could benefit from, Todoist's simplicity again makes it a compelling option against Asana, especially if you don't need project-based tools and visualization for the cost of Asana.

Airtable
- The ROI is simple: Airtable has created a more efficient workplace. We have fewer meetings, certainly. But any meetings we do have are much more efficient and impactful. Everyone walks in having used Airtable to prepare for the meeting (uploading needed docs, etc.), and the meeting is held using Airtable as the agenda. Airtable is updated and continues to be used after the meeting, so everyone stays on the same page.
- Airtable also makes planning events much more streamlined. Contracts, rental agreements, rosters, etc. are uploaded. Dates are set with reminders. People know what they are responsible for planning the event and for what role they will play during the event.

- Todoist has ultimately been a neutral for me. While I like some of it's features, like e-mail to Todoist or timetracking, there just wasn't enough there to justify purchasing a Pro subscription. I ended up finding similar solutions through Google's Task & Keep products.
