Likelihood to Recommend For a new part of our business, we have input staff details on Bright HR. There have been times when calls have been made to the helpline for guidance. It does not take long to get to know the staff you are speaking to. In relation to the query addressed with a team member today the service was excellent. Matthew has a great depth of knowledge of the system and works through the shift and annual leave calculations at the click of a finger. Thank you Mathew for your support, you are a star!
Read full review Paycor makes the onboarding process for new hires straightforward. This helps the recruiting and hiring process become more efficient and frees up time for the HR department. Finding someone who can help when you have a problem that needs to be solved quickly is an absolute nightmare.
Read full review Pros When a query has been dealt with via the helpline an email confirming the outcome is often issued which is great for reference at any time. The system is easy to use and the screens are clutter free. The support service offered is easy to access and the staff are friendly and helpful. Read full review applicant tracking is great - we were doing this manually previously - being able to communicate with applicants by text or email is really convenient coming from the platform we had Paycor is easy to use and administer great reports with more information than we had before Read full review Cons Direct-dial telephone numbers rather than going through the Peninsula helpline numbers. Setting up annual leave profiles often needs the assistance of a Bright HR representative when staff works quirky shifts. Providing examples of how to set the system up in user guides may help to set the system upright the first time. Read full review Customer Service is atrocious. We've had 6 Customer Success Managers in less than 3 years-hard to develop any type of rhythm in addressing and solving problems. They also utilize a ticketing system to report issues, but there is little to no communication of when tickets are actually resolved and what the resolution was-requires a ton of prodding from the client to get answers to emails. Integration with third party platforms (benefits for example) is also lacking. Issues are prevalent and take excessive time to resolve. Read full review Likelihood to Renew The product is really good overall. The customer service is not the best and the benefits administration is kind of painful. However, the good outweighs the bad. We might get a different benefit admin system that can be integrated into Paycor. My controller doesn't want to switch anything for a [long] time.
Read full review Usability Overall, Paycor from a managment standpoint is quite user friendly. Day-to-day tasks such as time sheet approvals, time request off management, and processing
Payroll are quick and easy. The reporting can be a bit tedious and is not very intuitive. Paycor from an employee user standpoint is also overal fairly user friendly. It is easy to view your schedule and your team's. Time off request are easy to submit and review. Reviewing remaining time off can be confusing and could use improvement. We find employees frequently needing to confirm their remaining time off when submitting new time off requests.
Read full review Reliability and Availability I feel like Paycor is always up and running! If they are planning downtime, they communicate it clearly. Every once in a while, I get something that says the system isn't working but it is usually back up within the hour. I typically find by the time that the employees complain about it, that it is resolved within the system.
Read full review Performance For the most part, everything moves super fast. There are a few sections (Expense Management) that sometimes take a bit to load correctly. Or if they are interesting, it takes a minute to talk to each other! But reports are quickly downloaded and available! Even data heavy reports run fairly fast!
Read full review Support Rating I feel like support will transfer you back and forth between departments and put you on hold forever. I believe it is very difficult to see the status of an open ticket. During my experience, it feels like the client has to push all communication and request updates from support regularly.
Read full review Online Training The online trainings are super helpful. They have user guides that you can read through, interactive training that will walk you through it as well as plain web based ones. I've actually never had an in-person training but all of the information you need can be found online. They also will do individual support training if you are struggling with a certain area.
Read full review Implementation Rating Implementation of any new software is going to be challenging, especially if you are maintaining an existing program concurrently. When it is time for dual-processing (both old and new software) prior to going live, be prepared to be stressed. But trust the process and it will be over soon.
Read full review Alternatives Considered I chose BrightHR as it offered a one-stop platform for HR management for which we have dedicated UK and ROI HR specialists who not only give HR advice but also write policies and handbooks, etc. They are a one-stop-shop, which was very important as when I signed the contract I did not have an HR person in my team and they were essentially my back office. Also, by signing up, I got access to Bright Safe too; which is great as again it's a one-stop-shop for Health and Safety in the workplace. So I can roll out toolbox talks, training, and accident management.
Read full review Paylocity was cumbersome and not very intuitive. I was constantly on the phone with them trying to figure out how to do something. I once called back 4 different times( because I didn’t believe the answer they gave me was how to do what I was asking), explained my problem the exact same way and got 4 different answers. So, I lost trust in the product and started looking for a product I could rely on.
Read full review Scalability I gave it a 10 because we only use it across one organization. However, it has allowed us to break it into multiple departments and layers of management. It is also easy for us to utilize across different locations but still under one master company. They have always provided us support when we decide to change something on an organizational level
Read full review Return on Investment Saved admin time in filing and then searching for documents. Saved admin time in chasing for managers' approvals for holiday requests. Saved admin time in chasing managers/employees to update their profiles. Read full review Need to track benefits in our own spreadsheet because they could not fix the benefit module. Needed to create and run our own reports because their reports were not accurate. Needed to fix payrolls after the fact because some things could not be processed in time. Read full review ScreenShots
